Communicate with Your Target Audience Through a Newsletter

Let’s talk about how to best communicate with your target audience.

Sure, sure… you can reach your target audience through social media, but did you know that it’s not the best way to communicate with your followers?

The best ROI (return-on-investment) for your marketing efforts is through an email newsletter. So, if you’re not already asking your blog’s visitors to sign up for an email newsletter, you should be.

How to Set Up a Newsletter Sign-Up

Luckily, setting up an email sign-up on your blog is easy to do through a third-party plug-in like Mailchimp, Constant Contact or ConvertKit. These software packages also enable you to sort your customer lists by interests and send relevant newsletters to your fans.

If you’re wondering how to get started, you’ll first need to select an email marketing service and then implement an email sign-up form on your blog. After that, the process is pretty hands off. Visitors can sign up on their own and their contact information will be retained by the service that you select.

Once you start collecting email addresses, you’ll need to reach out to your audience on a regular basis. You can send a weekly, bi-monthly or monthly newsletter—whatever you chose, just know that consistent outreach is what is important. Your selected email marketing service should have a newsletter creation platform to make this effort pretty seamless.

Fast-Track Your Newsletter Sign-Up

I implemented my email sign-up through trial-and-error, but you don’t have to do the same. It’s a topic that I cover in detail in my Food Blogging for Beginners Course (see Module 21) which is now available through a low-priced monthly subscription! That’s right, this $400+ course is now available for a low monthly subscription fee!

In Food Blogging for Beginners, I’ll walk you through how to build a food blog on the ever-popular WordPress platform from start to finish. If you already have a WordPress blog, you can skip ahead to Module 21 and get started building out your email list.
