The Food Bloggers’ Guide to Being Successful on Instagram
Are you a food blogger looking to grow on Instagram? Do you struggle to produce enough content, wonder which hashtags to use or whether to focus on posts or reels?
While Instagram is a great place to promote your food blog, it can also be tricky platform to navigate. And no one knows that better than other food bloggers.
In this blog post, I seek to get some real answers to how to be a food blogger on Instagram and I do it by asking my friend and fellow food blogger, Sara Tercero of Better Food Guru.
This interview is part of a new Interview series that I am launching through Confessions of a Food Blogger. It’s something that I’ve been thinking about for a while and I’m so pleased that Sara could be my inaugural guest!
About the Confessions of Food Blogger’s Interview Series
Before I tell you how this video is going to answer the burning question: how to be a food blogger on Instagram, I want to tell you a little bit about this series.
As a fellow food blogger, I’m right there in the trenches with you. I know how much work it is to build your food blogging business. And I also know that none of us can be an expert in everything.
That’s why I want to facilitate us learning from one another. And that’s what this Confessions of a Food Blogger and – specifically — this Interview Series is all about.
Meet Sara Tercero of Better Food Guru
Sara Tercero is the star of Episode 1: How to Be a Food Blogger on Instagram, The Food Blogger’s Guide to Success on Instagram.
If you aren’t following Sara on Instagram (@betterfoodguru), you need to be. Sara is one of the hardest working, most creative people I know – and it shows through her Instagram account. She also happens to be a wonderful chef and the author of Plant Based Diet in 30 Days, a cookbook designed to help plant-based newbies to kick start their new was of eating!
How to Be a Food Blogger on Instagram
Sara and I sat down a couple of months ago to talk about all things Instagram. Particularly as it applies to food blogging.
Sara has had a great deal of success growing her Instagram account to over 60,000 followers in a relatively short amount of time. She maintains a high engagement rate by showcasing enticing food photography and mouth-watering reels. So, it’s only natural that I would want to pick her brain.
We talk about a lot in this one-hour interview, discussing things like:
- How do I promote my food on Instagram?
- How do food bloggers get followers on Instagram?
- Do food bloggers get paid on Instagram?
- How do you grow a food business on Instagram?
- What should beginners post on Instagram?
- What are the 5 steps to being successful on Instagram?
If you’re a food blogger (or even if you’re not), I think there’s a lot to be gained by watching or listening to this entire interview. But if you need more convincing, here’s a little taste (pun intended) of Sara’s take on how to be a food blogger on Instagram.
